We are seeking a motivated people person to assist with our Waikato SESTA (Specialised School Transport Assistance) operation.

This role has lots of variety and immense satisfaction ensuring the safe transport of more than 250 students daily.

You will assist with the planning of runs and being part of the support team for drivers, parents / caregivers, and schools, along with administrative support such as recruitment and payroll.

For the right person there is heaps of opportunity to move up the ladder into a more senior role.

The role:

• Assisting with the smooth running of the Waikato SESTA day to day operation
• Supporting a team of 40+ Drivers
• Driving SESTA runs when required
• Planning and implementing runs to ensure optimum use of resources
• Regular monitoring of drivers & runs
• Ensuring high standards are always met or exceeded
• A high degree of satisfaction establishing and promoting harmonious relationships with our schools, drivers, and parents / caregivers
• Adherence to contractual agreements and legislation
• Support and stand in for the SESTA Operations Manager

• Excellent communication skills, verbal & written with a strong attention to detail
• The ability to establish & maintain positive relationships with schools, parents & drivers
• A natural aptitude for problem solving and developing solutions
• Proficient computer skills and a willingness to adapt to new technology
• Thrive on achieving results and taking pride in your work
• Demonstrate a pleasant, positive, honest personality and be a team player
• Held a full Class 1 NZ Drivers Licence for more than two years (Passenger Endorsement required but we can assist in obtaining this)
• Ability to pass a medical, police vetting check and undergo a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
