We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, results driven, ambitious sales professional to join us in our newly created role of Account Manager - Strategic Accounts.

About your new role:

As an Account Manager at APD, your primary objective is to spearhead comprehensive sales growth and nurture customer engagement within a designated portfolio of strategically important clients. This pivotal role entails leveraging existing customer relationships, expanding the depth and breadth of their engagement with APD, and fortifying brand loyalty.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and enhance market presence
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, serving as their primary point of contact for all inquiries and requirements
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products or services to maximize customer value and satisfaction
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including the marketing and product development teams, to ensure alignment of sales strategies with company objectives
  • Provide regular updates and insights on market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform decision-making processes
  • Contribute to the development of customer-centric initiatives aimed at enhancing brand perception and customer retention
  • Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote APD's offerings and foster new business relationships.

You will bring:

  • Proven track record of success in sales or account management roles, preferably within the construction, building materials, or manufacturing industry
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse clientele
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strategic thinker with the capacity to identify and capitalise on market opportunities
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Innovative, be solution focused, able to think outside the square
  • A high level of professionalism - able to present confidently
  • Be self-managing, - capable of making sound business decisions
