Occupational Therapist - (Part or Full Time)

We are looking for someone who has experience in community, social and vocational settings, to join us as an Occupational Therapist.
Broadly, you'll be responsible for assessing and providing treatments to patients with a limited ability to carry out everyday activities because of illness, injury, or circumstance. This role is an opportunity to work with meaning, build positive relationships within your community, assisting clients to return to independence.
Working alongside a team of diverse clinicians, you're expected to:
- Work autonomously and closely with clients to identify problems, help promote health and well-being and assist their rehabilitation process
- You will complete vocational rehabilitation, social, concussion and general rehabilitation/assessment under community contracts
- Ensure clients have every opportunity to regain their optimal level of function and empower patients to manage their problems to the best of their ability
- Provide assessment and rehabilitation services in the community and clinic setting under various rehabilitation contracts
- Provide client education, equipment recommendations, and general occupational therapy expertise
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team formulating rehabilitation pathways for our clients
- Complete reporting requirements for funding agencies
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Current Occupational Therapy tertiary level degree (post-graduate certificate or diploma desirable but not essential)
- A can-do attitude and solution-focused mindset
- The ability to motivate, empower and inspire patients
- Clean and full driver's license
