House Lead - Selwyn Village

About the role:
Your days will involve guiding and empowering your self-led team to provide residents with the comforts and security of home that demonstrates resident centred care. You will provide leadership, support and coaching alongside the registered nurse team and will be the first point of contact if a team member is unable to work as rostered. With support and coaching from the senior and registered nurse team, you will manage your direct reports on a daily basis ensuring that staff and/or performance issues are attended to without delay. You will monitor attendance, unscheduled absences, and leave requests. Arranging and facilitating team meetings, assist with resident & family meetings. You will also orientate all new caregivers to ensure they work as part of the team.

About you:
We are looking for real superstars to step into this role. You will be a Level 4 (or working towards) and have that special something that makes you a natural leader. You will be a whiz on the computer, have excellent time management and it is preferred that you have experience in people management skills. We are looking for an innovative, resilient and empathetic leader to take on this role and make it your own.
To be successful in this role you will need to have:
- A minimum of 3 years Caregiving experience
- Eligibility to work in NZ permanently
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships
- Empathy whilst having a firm but fair approach
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Natural leadership skills with a resilient nature
- Level 3 or higher NZ Health and Wellbeing qualification is desirable
