Mō te tūranga | About the Role
Reporting to the Projects and Operations Administration Team Leader, you will help provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the team. Your role will contribute to the effective delivery of projects and operations that benefit our community.
Ko ngā haepapa matua| Key Responsibilities
- Perform general administrative tasks, including maintaining records, schedules, and databases.
- Manage financial and procurement functions, such as work orders, purchase orders, accounts payable/receivable, GETS, Secured Signing, and budget assistance.
- Provide technical support and training for Council financial systems.
- Assist with reporting and ensure administrative processes align with best practices, policies, and timeframes.
- Demonstrate professional accountability, a commitment to ongoing development, and continuous improvement.
- Promote and adhere to Health, Safety, and Wellbeing standards.
- Support Council initiatives and contribute to organisational goals as needed.
Tō Kōrero | About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Qualifications: National Certificate Level 3 (NCEA Level 3) and a full NZ driver's licence.
- Experience: 3-4 years of relevant administrative work experience.
With the following Skills & Knowledge:
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Understanding of office procedures and systems (e.g., photocopiers, email).
- Familiarity with financial systems and principles.
- Knowledge of document management systems.
- Awareness of local government operations and the Hauraki District (desirable).
