Mō te tūranga | About the Role
As the Transportation Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating various transportation projects and initiatives in accordance with Councils Goal Statement, General Objectives and Performance measures.
Tō Kōrero | About You
To succeed in this role you should possess the following:
- Bachelor of Engineering or Similar
- Proven ‘Successful' Team Leadership skills along with the ability to foster a collaborative work environment is a must have.
- Demonstrated project management skills with a successful track record of completing transportation projects on time and within budget.
- Proven Experience in transportation planning, Traffic engineering or related roles.
- Strong Knowledge of transportation regulations, policies and best practices.
- Working knowledge of the principals of Te Tiriti O Waitangi incorporating partnership obligations.
- Proficiency in transport related software and tools (eg., GIS)
- Understanding of sustainability principals in transport planning
- A valid Current NZ Drivers Licence

The salary range for this role is between $140,000 and $157,000 per annum based on your relevant experience and competencies. We also offer a relocation allowance depending on criteria and other benefits that make us a great place to work.
