As the Transportation Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating various transportation projects and initiatives in accordance with Councils Goal Statement, General Objectives and Performance measures.

Tō Kōrero | About You

To succeed in this role you should possess the following:

• Bachelor of Engineering or Similar
• Proven ‘Successful' Team Leadership skills along with the ability to foster a collaborative work environment is a must have.
• Demonstrated project management skills with a successful track record of completing transportation projects on time and within budget.
• Proven Experience in transportation planning, Traffic engineering or related roles.
• Strong Knowledge of transportation regulations, policies and best practices.
• Working knowledge of the principals of Te Tiriti O Waitangi incorporating partnership obligations.
• Proficiency in transport related software and tools (eg., GIS)
• Understanding of sustainability principals in transport planning
• A valid Current NZ Drivers Licence
