We are seeking two skilled Operators with a Class 4 license to join our team based at our Deborah Depot, supporting projects throughout the Waitaki region. One position focuses on the 3 Waters sector, while the other involves pavement construction.

Hours of work are generally Monday to Friday with weekend work a rarity.

The successful candidates will be required to be a proficient operator of excavators, loaders and rollers etc. As part of this role there will be times when you are required to operate other items of plant and carry out other duties as the work requires.

If successful in this role you will gain exposure to a variety of projects or be part of larger projects and will be provided the opportunity to develop your skills and leadership capabilities.

We have a strong focus on quality, health, safety and the environment and the successful applicant will have an important role in maintaining this culture.

We are seeking applications from candidates who have, and can demonstrate:

• Class 4 licence preferred with W, T and R endorsements (these can be provided under a training agreement for the right person)
• Skills and experience in drainage, roading and general civil works (desirable)
• Ability to work productively without direct supervision
• Delivery of contract specifications to a high standard
• A positive attitude and work ethic
• Good written and verbal communication skills
