Do you want to kick your new year off with a great opportunity in one of New Zealand's manufacturing success stories? We have a great opportunity for a tertiary qualified and experienced Production Engineer with the ability to provide mechanical engineering support to our sheet metal manufacturing and assembly processes. You will be a hands-on problem solver, able to implement projects and to improve processes.

Moffat Ltd is a long-established company and part of a major group of global companies. We design, develop, manufacture and market a comprehensive range of commercial food service and bakery equipment, exporting to 50 countries globally. We employ over 260 people, based in our purpose-built facility at Rolleston, New Zealand. We are also part of the Ali Group - the world's largest and most diverse food service equipment company.

In this role you will be able to identify and convey to the manufacturing and design teams any improvements that will assist manufacture. LEAN manufacturing principles will be part of your thought process on all projects. It is a varied role covering our sheet metal (Press Shop), fabrication, porcelain enamel and Assembly Departments.

Ideally you will have sound mechanical/production engineering knowledge, understand CNC sheet metal process equipment, be familiar with a variety of welding processes and it would be an advantage if you have experience with multi-station assembly operations.

You will be a person who can demonstrate a proven record of successful production engineering and process improvement projects. This role requires very good organisational skills, a sound knowledge of a variety of engineering disciplines and an ability to work proactively with a broad cross section of people.
