About the role
As the Alcohol Licensing Administrator, you are our customers first point of contact for alcohol licensing. You will deliver an outstanding customer experience, providing education where needed to build a proactively compliant community.
You will also assist the Bylaws Compliance team by coordinating and administering a range of regulatory activities including:
- Providing administrative support for alcohol licensing, environmental health and wastewater services, ensuring smooth application processing.
- Managing correspondence, including responses to objectors and compliance letters.
- Assisting with monitoring & compliance activities, including the organisation and set up for alcohol licensing related hearings.
- Maintaining accurate records, keeping policies up-to-date and assisting with statutory reporting.
- Supporting budget management, financial reconciliation, raising purchase orders and receiving invoices for payment.
- Reviewing, updating and developing your daily procedural task using PROMPP.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least two years' experience in administrative roles
- Strong customer service skills, with a focus on clear communication and problem-solving.
- Proficient in database management and reporting system
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with relevant legislation such as the Supply of Alcohol Act, Alcohol Control Bylaw, Health Act, Food Act and Food Regulations 2015 and Wastewater Drainage Bylaw would be an advantage.
