Our friendly Aquatic Services team are seeking a Senior Swim Teacher.
The hours of work for this position are 20 hours per week, to be agreed with the successful applicant.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Instruct high quality and consistent ‘Learn to Swim' lessons to students of all levels of ability, and a range of ages from adults to infants.
- Provide assessments on ‘Learn to Swim' students, as and when required in liaison with the Team Leader - Swim School.
- Ensure all training standards are met and maintained.
- Support the Team Leader - Swim School to develop, implement and coordinate new swim safety programmes to community groups and demographics.
- Assist in the supervision and motivation of all team members, encouraging a high-performing team that develops professionally and delivers "best practice".
What you will bring:
- New Zealand Certificate in Aquatics - Swim and Water Safety Teacher Level 3
- First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain
- National Lifeguard Award
- Ability to lead a group of pre-schoolers'
- High level of customer relations and communication skills
