About the Role:

We're on the lookout for experienced Planners to help us achieve the best possible development outcomes for our community. As a planner in the Resource Consents Team, your role is about providing high quality, robust planning assessment and evaluation of proposals, to ensure planning outcomes are achieved. You will also have a key role in customer service, helping our customers understand how their plans and aspirations can be achieved in Selwyn.

We welcome applications from - Senior Resource Management Planners and Resource Management Planners.

About you

As a Planner, you will hold a tertiary qualification in Urban/Regional Planning, Resource Management or a related discipline which is recognised by the NZPI.

Senior Resource Management Planners work on large scale or complex applications, with decision making delegation and provide leadership support to the Team Leader in the coaching and mentoring less experienced team members. We're looking for candidates for this role with 7+ years' experience.

Resource Management Planners work with increasing independence on a range of applications and assist less experienced team members. We're looking for candidates for this role with 5+ years' experience.
