Pan Pac Forest Products (Otago) is a modern sawmilling facility located in Milburn, approximately 40 minutes south of Dunedin and 20 minutes north of Balclutha. We produce kiln-dried appearance grade lumber for both domestic and export markets.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Engineering Tradesperson to join our team. Reporting to the Engineering Co-ordinator, you will provide engineering support to optimise and enhance plant performance.

This is a day shift role, working 5x8hr days a week from Monday to Friday (40 hours) with rotating shifts from 5:30am to 2:00pm or alternatively 7:30am to 4:00pm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering expertise and hands-on support for the Engineering Trades team.
• Perform a combination of preventative and remedial maintenance.
• Ensure plant maintenance and reliability.

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

• NZQA Level 4 Engineering Trade Certificate (or similar).
• Strong focus on Environmental, Health, Safety, and Risk (EHSR).
• Experience in plant maintenance and reliability.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Sound judgement with a practical approach to problem-solving and root cause analysis.
