Help ensure the restoration, management, and enhancement of one of the Manawatū District's little gems!
Manawatu District Council established the Awahuri Forest Kitchener Park Trust in 2014 to assist in the governance of the ecological restoration, management, and enhancement of the land at Awahuri Forest Kitchener Park both for our community to enjoy and for educational purposes.
We are seeking individuals who can provide governance with an interest in the environment and the Manawatū Region. If you can tick off a few of the skills and attributes listed below we would be keen to hear from you!
- Governance and Strategic thinking
- Interest / experience in Chairperson role and leadership
- Risk Management
- Financial Acumen
- Administration
- Marketing including social media
- Strategic thinker
- Business sense
- Information technology
- Clear communicator including public speaking
- Great at stakeholder relations
- Committed to both the Trust and the Manawatū District
We will also be seeking a new Chairperson in the future, so there may be an opportunity to step into this role if you have the potential and are interested in leadership. A small honorarium is paid to our trustees to acknowledge their valued time commitment and expertise.
