In your new role, you will:

  • Lead by example, managing complex applications and mentor junior staff.
  • Be the expert and provide guidance and advice to stakeholders on resource consents.
  • Advocate for best practices, contributing to policy development and ensure positive planning outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively, while you present evidence at hearings and collaborate with diverse groups.

To ensure you are set up for success, you will bring:

  • A strong background in resource consent processing with a deep understanding of the Resource Management Act and regional/district planning rules.
  • The ability to connect with people of all backgrounds is key.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills to solve problems and interpret data.
  • A collaborative spirit, enabling you to thrive in a team environment and build strong relationships.
