We are looking for a Technical Advisor to join our team at Keith Andrews Trucks.

Keith Andrews is New Zealand's largest commercial vehicle dealer, proudly representing the Daimler Truck brand family, which includes Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner, and FUSO commercial vehicles. Established in 1991 in Whangārei, we have expanded over the past three decades to operate 11 dealerships nationwide, employing over 350 team members. As part of our continuous growth, we are seeking a Technical Advisor to join our dynamic and customer-focused team.

Key Responsibilities

• Stay up to date with the latest vehicles and products Keith Andrews Trucks sells and supports
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues for both Keith Andrews Trucks and key customers
• Communicate effectively with managers and customers when complex issues arise
• Guide senior automotive technicians through the diagnostic process, both in person and over the phone
• Act as a technical resource for parts, sales, and service staff
• Collaborate with the Sales, Service, and Parts departments to provide technical expertise
• Provide technical guidance to body builders and assist with planning for service, parts, or sales as needed

Qualifications & Skills

• Trade Certificate in Automotive Engineering
• A current and clean NZ driver's license (classes 1-4); class 5 preferred
• Effective and motivational communicator
• Physically fit and active to undertake hands-on work
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities efficiently
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Proficient in computer systems and technology
• A ‘people person' who enjoys mentoring and passing on technical knowledge
• Training expertise or an interest in helping others learn
