Finance & Reporting Analyst

About the role:

Working within the Finance team, this full-time role supports Kaipara District Council's roading function through financial management, reporting analysis, and data management. You'll provide insights that drive roading initiatives and work with stakeholders to enhance accuracy and efficiency in financial processes and systems.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing roading data by monitoring performance, ensuring compliance, and contributing to reporting and policy development.
  • Maintaining accurate data processes, supporting claims, and assisting with documentation and queries.
  • Supporting financial administration by preparing performance reports, tracking budgets, processing invoices, and maintaining financial records.
  • Enhancing reporting processes, forecasting cash flow, and conducting system audits.
  • Optimising data tools and identifying opportunities to improve reporting for business needs.

What we're looking for:

  • At least five years of experience in financial administration, focusing on contracts, records systems, and procurement.
  • Proven ability to manage and analyse financial data, with expertise in reporting.
  • Experience in process mapping, with ProMapp knowledge a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • A detail-oriented approach, adaptability to new systems, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
