Strategic Infrastructure Planner

About the Role
We are seeking an analytical thinker to develop long-term plans for our district's infrastructure needs, considering factors like future growth, sustainability, climate change and cost-effectiveness. As a Strategic Infrastructure Planner you'll work in collaboration with our strategy and infrastructure teams to ensure that our infrastructure decisions align with our strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute long-term infrastructure plans and business cases
- Ensure strategic goals are aligned with infrastructure plans and programmes
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement
- Provide technical support and expertise
- Support a customer-first culture
About You
We are looking for a proactive and confident self-starter. You will have well-developed communication skills with a strong customer service focus. You are enthusiastic, solution-focused, and self-motivated. Your strategic thinking will be invaluable, along with your attention to detail and ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
Your commitment to making a positive difference, pragmatism, and political astuteness will see you succeed in this role. You will be adept at taking both customers and stakeholders on a journey with you, handling difficult conversations with tact and diplomacy. Your background is likely in Planning or Business Case development in the infrastructure sector, and you will have a strong team-based approach with well-developed collaboration and relationship management skills. You will lead by example, ensuring record-keeping and transparency of evidence-based decision-making are up to date.
