An exciting position is now available within our rapidly growing Container Sales/Leasing and Storage Company in based at our Wellington Branch.

This position could be a multi-faceted role that will be responsible for all container operations and supporting the Branch Manager in the day-to-day operations of the depot, there will also be opportunities to get involved with the repair and/or Modification of containers.

Duties will include:

• Container Gate In/Gate Out
• Supporting in overseeing all daily Depot/Yard Operations
• Walk In Customer Service
• Container Surveys/Grading
• Liaison with Head Office
• Liaison with Drivers and transport companies
• Ensure compliance with H&S regulations
• Stock takes
• Container Repairs/Modifications

Skills we are looking for:

• Forklift experience (shipping container experience an advantage)
• Container repairs/modification experience an advantage but not necessary
• Ability to be hands on and learn new skills, welding skills an advantage.
• Team Player
• Knowledge of container/transport industry an advantage but not necessary
• Good Computer literacy and ability to run a depot on a daily basis a must.
• Ability to work un-assisted
• Motivated and self-driven

We are looking for someone to fill this position with a long-term view, it will be a varied and interesting role for the successful candidate, and we have an expectation the successful candidate will bring some additional skills and ideas to the role, The position will be reporting to the local Branch Manager.
