Health, Safety and Wellbeing Business Partner

This newly created role is key in supporting our managers and team in building a culture of safety excellence. In this role you will partner with managers across multiple sites to drive and influence safety performance at ground level.

You must be passionate about safety, be proactive and be able to influence our managers. This is a role where you'll be able to help shape safety frameworks, practices and procedures.

Based at our Global Head Office in Morrinsville, you will work as part of our small knit people and safety team that supports our nationwide team of 400 spread across 18 branches and 2 distribution centres to provide guidance and support with all things HR, Health, Safety, Wellbeing and payroll. You will report directly to the HR Manager.

Your Mission:

Coach and guide our people leaders, providing expert guidance and advice on health, safety and wellbeing matters, you will do this through:

  • Driving compliance activities and corrective actions
  • Provide coaching, training and guidance in all things H&S.
  • Developing and reviewing safety management systems, policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Driving a positive and safe working culture across all sites.
  • Ensuring our sites are safe through analysing lead and lag safety data

You'll bring:

  • Proven success in supporting and advising managers with health, safety and wellbeing across multiple locations
  • Sound knowledge of NZ legislation requirements and health and safety work act.
  • Hands on experience working with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail, be highly motivated, self-driven and organised.
  • A clean driver's licence, and the ability to travel as required.
