Site Supervisor - Electrical

Founded in 1950, Aquaheat has delivered high-quality building services solutions to commercial, industrial and infrastructure customers specialising in HVAC Mechanical installations throughout New Zealand. As a result of a strong forward workload we are now on the hunt for a motivated, ambitious person to join our Queenstown Contracting team.

Aquaheat New Zealand, is recruiting for a Site Supervisor. Reporting to the the Electrical Regional Manager, the overall purpose of the Site Supervisor is to the supervise other trade staff and subcontractors on projects as well as carrying out a hands-on role either installing Electrical plant, equipment, and systems on projects where required.

The Site Supervisor will work with the Regional Manager to ensure quality Electrical installations to all our head contractors/clients with contractual obligations and industry standards being achieved at all times:

To be successful a candidate will require the following qualifications and experience:

Qualifications

  • Trade qualified professional with knowledge and experience across commercial and industrial Electrical projects.
  • 5 years post trade experience
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in the Electrical industry preferable with a background in a commercial installation environment
  • Valid NZ Drivers Licence

Experience

Demonstrated experience in relevant trade area required:

  • Proven experience in supervising Electrical installation staff leading by example with a passion for delivering high quality customer satisfaction at all times.
  • People management expertise with the ability to lead, coordinate, motivate and develop Electrical trade staff to create an efficient workforce.
  • Knowledge of building and service regulations and statutory obligations
  • Ability to schedule work, provide Electrical technical expertise and support staff where required to resolve issues that arise in a busy installation operation.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines with a diverse range of tasks to manage.
  • A passion for maintaining a safe working environment.
  • A commitment to provide excellent customer service.
  • Proven ability to develop a team and operate in a team environment.
  • Experienced in the installation of Electrical plant, equipment, and systems in a commercial environment.
  • Experience in responding to and satisfying customer requests.
  • Experience with using hand or power equipment.
  • Experience working within OH&S guidelines.
  • Co-operative and team orientated
