Colt Products & Systems is a division of Aquaheat New Zealand Limited and manufactures louvres, ventilators and other smoke control/natural ventilation products in its Tawa based factory/ workshop.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a great team based in Wellington/Auckland.
Reporting to the Engineering/Operations Manager, the purpose of this role is to support the Project Teams including manufacturing facility by providing drafting, technical, project Engineering services required to service our clients in a professional and timely manner.
To be successful a candidate will require the following qualifications and experience:
- Demonstrated experience in the manufacturing and construction Industry
- CAD Proficiency: Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, Fusion 360 or Inventor, is essential.
- NZQA Recognition: If you have overseas qualifications, they need to be assessed and recognized by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA)
- Mid-Level: 3-5 years of experience, with a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in mechanical design and draughting.
- Senior-Level: Over 5 years of experience, including project management and leadership roles in mechanical draughting.
- Knowledge of Engineering Principles: Understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and sheet manufacturing processes.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and diligence in creating technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience in VBA programming will be an advantage, however not essential.
