Bid Writer - Administration

Horizon Energy Group is looking for a Bid Writer - Administrator to join our Business Development team and play a pivotal role in winning new business across our multiple divisions.

About the Role
As a Bid Writer - Administrator, you'll support our Strategic Bid Manager to craft winning proposals and tender responses that showcase our value and deliver results. You'll be involved in everything from developing sales documents and managing proposal libraries to coordinating bid response plans and maintaining strong business development processes.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Creating high-quality, client-focused proposals and tender submissions that adhere to compliance requirements and company guidelines.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to gather insights and content for winning proposals.
  • Managing and updating our proposal library, ensuring it's a go-to resource for bid development.
  • Supporting the Strategic Bid Manager in coordinating bid processes and maintaining the Winning Work Cycle process.
  • Using your creativity to develop graphics, infographics, and iconography that enhance written responses.

What You'll Bring to the Team

  • A Competitive Edge: You love the rush of winning. You've likely been working in a sales support role, maybe in construction or facility maintenance/FM, where you've been exposed to bids, tenders, and proposals.
  • Exceptional writing skills with a proven ability to create compelling, benefit-led content within the service, maintenance, or project-based industries.
  • Experience in formal sales processes (e.g., Shipleys, Miller Heinemann) and working in a strategic sales environment.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
