Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role:
We are looking for a customer service superstar to join our team in Independent Living at Selwyn Village in Point Chevalier. Working days and hours are Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm. Reporting to the Resident Relationship Manager, and working closely with hospitality and home services teams, you will ensure our residents are provided with a professional quality service. You will be responsible for providing a vibrant, warm, welcoming and quality environment for our residents, their families and visitors, which reflects the Foundation's values. Your days will be busy and varied. You will become a core and integral member of our team. Just a few of your daily duties will include:
- Providing resident induction programs
- Undertaking welfare visits
- Updating our resident database
- Welcoming back returning residents
- Assisting with delivery of optional services (e.g. room service/meal delivery, wellness checks)
- Assist with transportation on site
- Assisting with hospitality events
- On site first responder duties
- General administration

If you have a passion for customer service, display strong interpersonal skills and have proven experience working in healthcare, administration, retail or hospitality then this role could be perfect for you.
Other key requirements include:
- Understanding the needs of our elders and delivering service excellence
- A fun-loving personality with a positive attitude
- Great communication skills (written and verbal)
- An interest and enthusiasm for promoting health and safety standards is beneficial
- Competent in MS Office
- A high standard of personal presentation
- High energy, enthusiasm and a team player
- Empathetic and caring nature
- Previous experience in hospitality roles would be advantageous
- Calm and unflappable manner
- Physically fit (role involves a lot of walking)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Full driver's license (you will be driving our residents around the village in a buggy)
- The ability to work statutory holidays when they fall on your regular working day
