Whitestone Contracting Ltd is looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Operator to join our team based in Oamaru, supporting a variety of projects across the Waitaki region. About the role:
We're seeking an experienced operator with proficiency in excavators and a solid background in operating various types of construction plant. You'll also be expected to take on general civil duties as needed, depending on project demands. This role offers the chance to grow your skill set and take on increasing responsibilities, including potential leadership development.

Key responsibilities:

• Operating excavators and a range of construction equipment
• Completing tasks to a high standard in drainage, roading, and general civil works
• Maintaining a strong commitment to health, safety, quality, and environmental standards
• Working independently and efficiently with minimal supervision

What we're looking for:

• A Class 4 driver's licence (preferred), with W, T, and R endorsements (training may be provided for the right candidate)
• Experience in civil construction and plant operation
• Ability to meet contract specifications with a high level of workmanship
• Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
• Effective communication skills
