Pan Pac Otago runs a modern sawmilling facility that produces kiln dried appearance grade lumber for domestic and export markets. Based in Milburn approximately 40 mins south of Dunedin and 20mins north of Balclutha.

Our kiln operation is highly automated and run by a three-person team. We run a morning/afternoon/weekend shift rotation. Weekends are evenly split between the three operators (1 weekend every 3 weeks)

This is predominately a forklift and loader operating role, but the successful applicant could progress to boiler operator and be trained to ASNZS National certificate Level 3 Boiler operation.

Must have attributes:

• Proven forklift experience with a strong track record of efficient and accurate loading, unloading, and stacking
• F Endorsement & OSH certification
• Wheels Endorsement
• Class 2 Driver's Licence
• Loader operating experience
• Strong focus on health and safety
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain a high work rate with minimal supervision

Desirable attributes:

• Experience in a manufacturing industry
• Mechanical aptitude
• Basic computer skills
