Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role
As our Digital Marketing Advisor, you'll be at the heart of promoting the Whakatāne District and the Eastern Bay of Plenty to the world. In this dynamic role, you'll lead our digital presence across multiple marketing channels, creating fresh, engaging content that inspires visitors, showcases our calendar of events, and supports local businesses to help our economy flourish. Helping shape marketing strategy, you'll manage everything from briefing and campaign scheduling, to content creation, execution and analytics. You'll also build strong relationships with stakeholders in the tourism and events industry, media and design agencies and the community.
Ko wai koe | About you
- You'll bring a mix of creativity, strategic thinking, and digital know-how, along with:
- Minimum three years' experience in a similar digital marketing or communications role.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities, with a flair for engaging social media and web content.
- Savvy with the Meta suite, TikTok, YouTube, Google and other digital channels.
- Confident in managing multi-channel campaigns, analysing performance data, and using analytics to improve results.
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- A team player who builds positive relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and the community.
- Respect for cultural protocols and a genuine commitment to community engagement.
- A tertiary qualification in marketing or communications.
