The vision of Stand Tū Māia is Tāmatatia and Tiakina. That tamariki and whānau who experience multiple forms of adversity will have their safety and wellbeing restored and preserved for future generations. To this end our services strengthen family relationships, support the development of child and adult self-regulation and core executive skills, and work to reduce sources of stress. Respect and healing relationships are at the heart of our mahi. All staff are expected to demonstrate cultural humility and a commitment to restoration of whānau as a form of Te Tiriti redress.
You will be able to demonstrate:
- Motivation to offer others a feeling of home and welcome, a sense of whanau or family and an experience of comfort, care, safety and security.
- To provide nutritious food, and present it with care and aroha.
- Ability to work with people from all walks of life
- Openness to understanding and valuing Te Ao Māori
- Able to form strong, positive, trusting relationships with tamariki and whānau
- Pay consistent attention to health and safety
- Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate
- City & Guilds or NZ Certificate in Cookery Level 4
