An amazing opportunity is now available for a talented Technical Support and Trainer Specialist to join the team in Mt Wellington.

Working within a team-based environment, the responsibilities and variation of this role are vast.

This dual-role position requires a blend of technical expertise and teaching abilities. The position will provide technical support to Dealers/Trade Customers & End Users with troubleshooting issues, also deliver training programs to enhance Dealers & trade customers understanding of our products and services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively train and support users at all levels.

Warranty Responsibilities will be including loading claims onto the warranty portal, and basic processing of warranty claims.

A taste of what the position will be involved with:

  • Providing technical support to End Users, Dealers and Internal staff
  • Developing a relationship with the technicians to ensure requirements are met and enhancing client confidence that information supplied to them is accurate.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive training requirements and technical awareness in market.
  • Coordinate and orchestrate training workshops for internal staff, and customers based on technical requirements, and industry changes.
  • From time to time, deliver on site training workshops for customers within driving reach of branch
  • Collate data based on call type, and report findings regularly to line manager.
  • Coordinate the return of parts to conduct component fault validation and reporting for both customer, and industry improvement
  • Maintain technical and industry knowledge by attending internal and external training programs.
  • Possess a total ownership and accountability mentality in pursuit of delivering the best customer service
  • Collaborate with Warranty team members to advise on technical solutions and commentary in response to claims
  • Maintain Service Level Agreements for warranty completion.
  • Maintain customer claim requirements within SAP System.
  • Maintain and update information in the warranty portal Ensure claims and replacements are executed in SAP within SLA timeframe.

What you will bring?

  • Air conditioning or refrigeration trade experience is an advantage
  • Ability to prepare and deliver training on new products and technologies in person through a variety of tutorial channels, including self-guided training videos, user manuals, and digital instruction pages, often in collaboration with technical writers.
  • Instruct students on care of HVAC tools/equipment, their purpose and proper use.
  • Instruct students on Electrical, Mechanical and Hydraulic safety.
  • Instruct students to perform major and minor HVAC repairs and installations.
  • Establish and maintain a working relationship with the HVAC industry to ensure training is relevant.
  • Ability to understand digital technologies and integration
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft suite and CRM platforms or similar
  • Typing skills of 30 wpm or more
  • Ability to understand and communicate data from Technical Service Manuals
  • Demonstrated understanding of Customer Service
  • Computer Literate - Ability to understand and apply data input
