The vision of Stand Tū Māia is Tāmatatia and Tiakanga. That tamariki and whānau who experience multiple forms of adversity will have their safety and wellbeing restored and preserved for future generations. To this end our services strengthen family relationships, support the development of child and adult self-regulation and core executive skills, and work to reduce sources of stress. Respect and healing relationships are at the heart of our mahi. All staff are expected to demonstrate cultural humility and a commitment to restoration of whānau as a form of Te Tiriti redress.
You will be able to demonstrate:
- Motivation to offer others a feeling of home and welcome, a sense of whanau or family and an experience of comfort, care, safety and security.
- Ability to work with people from all walks of life
- Openness to understanding and valuing Te Ao Māori
- Ability to form strong, positive, trusting relationships with tamariki and whānau
- Consistent attention to health and safety
- Experience in customer service, reception, data entry and general administration
- Organisation, reliability and attention to detail
- Support the Team Leader in maintaining the safety, compliance, and operational standards of the facility, grounds, and vehicles.
- Strong IT Literacy Microsoft Suite
- Ability to provide IT trouble shooting

We have one full time and one part-time position (0.6 FTE) available, both are based in Rotorua, and we are looking at starting the successful applicants in the New Year (January 2026), but an earlier start may be negotiable.
