We have two fixed term parental leave cover opportunities, one at our Motueka Service Centre and one Richmond based, plus one shorter fixed term role in Richmond until 27 June 2026.

A typical day:

No two days are the same! As a Customer Support Officer your role is to be on the counter greeting our customers, helping customers with difficult queries, working on the phones, responding to emails or cash receipting.

There is a lot to learn, and we provide comprehensible on-the-job training. We are looking for someone who is wanting to learn and be part of a supportive team.

Things you will be proud of:

A high standard of presentation is expected as you will be proud to be the face and voice of Council, providing high quality, professional interactions and adding value when answering customers enquiries via phone or email.

The boxes you will need to tick:

• You will be energetic, enthusiastic and committed to providing excellent customer service.
• Experience in a customer service environment would be a distinct advantage.
• Being calm under pressure and good problem-solving skills will be put to good use in this position, as will your sharp and well-honed computer skills.
