OuterSpace is an architectural landscape design and construction company with a reputation for excellence in service, workmanship and design. We're deeply committed to creating and constructing extraordinary outdoor spaces in the commercial construction sector working with clients such as schools, retirement villages and councils, to name a few.
We're now on the hunt for an experienced Site Foreman to join our exceptional teams in Auckland. Could this be you?
As our Site Foreman, you'll be responsible for:
- Overseeing daily progress on site
- Running projects on site from start to finish
- Leading and supporting our Technicians
- Keeping things moving safely, efficiently and to a high standard
Ideally, you'll bring previous landscaping experience. We will also consider applicants from a construction background, especially those with hands-on building and concrete skills.
Although this is a very hands-on foreman role, you'll also be client-facing so clear communication, a positive attitude and professional presentation are essential.
You'll have a proven track record of being a "doer" who gets things done, including the ability to:
- Work as part of a team and meet timeframes
- Solve problems and think outside the box
- Represent the company professionally with clients and subcontractors
On top of that, you'll have:
- Excellent hands-on skills using tools and machinery
- Horticulture and hard/soft landscaping experience (a definite advantage)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to interpret construction plans and details
- An exceptional eye for detail and pride in high-quality workmanship
- Flexibility to adapt to changing environments and work well under pressure
How we reward you
We're introducing a profit-share arrangement so that when the business wins, we all win. Our Auckland projects are still new and will take time to mature, so it may be around 12 months before they start generating strong profit. This is a long-term opportunity, if we all pull in the same direction to grow the business, everyone shares in the rewards.
We'll also provide
- The chance to build high-quality outdoor spaces, supported by our experienced Directors, Operations Manager and fellow Site Managers
- A fun, friendly and supportive team environment
- Protective clothing supplied
If you enjoy working in a challenging and busy division focused mainly on commercial clients, are happy to travel when needed, and want to be part of an established company with genuine opportunities to advance your career, then we'd love to hear from you apply now!
Applicants for this position should have NZ citizenship, residency, or a valid NZ work visa.
