Join us as a Registered Nurse at our state-of-the-art Ivan Ward Centre, a modern facility providing hospital and rest home level care through a pioneering household model. We have two vacancies available. Days and hours for each are outlined below.
1. Saturday to Wednesday 0645-1515 - 40 hours
2. Thursday to Monday 1445-2315 - 40 hours
Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role:
This role involves being a good leader and having effective problem-solving skills, as you will lead the clinical care provision within the ‘household'. Reporting to the Clinical Manager, your strong communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to interact well with residents and family members of all backgrounds and to work with them on designing their individualised care plans. Reliable and trustworthy, you will pride yourself on your clinical expertise, compassion and respect for residents and colleagues. You will be:
- Providing the best possible care for our residents that you would want for your family members
- Working as a team to ensure all our residents' day-to-day needs are taken care of
- Working closely with Clinical Managers and Care Partners ensuring wrap-around care
He pūkenga tou | Skills & Experience:
- New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Minimum of three years aged care nursing experience in New Zealand
- Experience in clinical assessment and observation skills
- Proven passion and desire to provide excellent and holistic patient care
- Sound clinical knowledge
- InterRai desirable
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - Proven ability to communicate in a clear, considerate manner with genuine compassion
- Computer competent
