We're seeking an experienced and qualified Mechanical Drafter to support our current clients and upcoming project pipeline.
This is a fixed term or contract role and can be based in New Plymouth or Wellington.

The Role
We're seeking an experienced Mechanical Draftsperson to take on a varied and challenging position. Working closely with our Mechanical Design Team, you'll deliver high-quality mechanical designs that meet client needs and industry standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing detailed mechanical designs and drawings to support fabrication and installation
- Identifying and resolving fabrication, construction and maintenance issues during the design phase
- Conducting site surveys to gather critical project information
- Communicating early with Lead Designer/Engineer on project concerns and corrective actions
- Delivering cost-effective, safe, and fit-for-purpose design solutions
- Building knowledge of client, national, and international standards and legislative requirements
- Supporting continuous improvement by raising issues of quality, health, and safety
- Ensuring compliance with company QA and HSEQ policies, industry standards, and client specifications
About You
We're looking for someone who brings:
- Proven design experience with pressure vessels and piping in Oil & Gas, dairy, food, pharmaceutical, or petrochemical industries
- Strong CAD skills (AutoCAD preferred) with ability to deliver:
- General arrangement drawings and sections
- Piping isometrics
- Bills of materials, C.O.G./weight reports
- PFDs and P&IDs
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- A proactive, self-starting attitude with the ability to thrive in a multi-disciplinary team environment
