CCS Disability Action
Permanent part-time; 8.30am - 2pm Monday - Friday
CCS Disability Action's vision is to see every disabled person/whānau hauā interwoven into the lives of their whānau and community.
We are the largest pan-disability support and advocacy organisation in New Zealand. Since 1935, we have been at the forefront of service provision, advocacy, and information sharing, working closely with disabled people / whānau hauā and their families across New Zealand.
We are a busy team who support disabled people both in our office and out in the community. Our office is also the only place north of Auckland that can process disability parking permits (other than on-line).
This role is a customer-facing, responding to enquiries from the public and professionals, by phone, email or face-to-face.
As an Administrator, you will:
- Work in our reception area, providing support to visitors and processing mobility parking permits
- Help provide a friendly, welcoming and inclusive space for visitors and staff.
- Provide colleagues with administrative support, as required.
- Ensure our fleet of pool cars is maintained, including registration and WOF
- Complete weekly administrative tasks, including health and safety, banking, and managing phone calls and emails.
With the support of our Service Manager and the whole team, you'll:
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred assistance that promotes independence, well-being, and connection to the community
Our organisation takes a social, rather than medical approach, supporting disabled people to live their best lives. We are guided by the Enabling Good Lives principles, shifting power and authority back to disabled people and their families, to increase choice and control in their lives.
About you:
We are looking for people who:
- value an individualised approach to customer service that is responsive, welcoming and inclusive
- have a strengths-based approach to supporting disabled people and their whanau
- can work well independently and also as part of a team
- can prioritise tasks well, manage a varied workload independently and meet daily deadlines.
- lived experience of disability is an advantage
- relevant training / qualifications would be an advantage, but not essential. We will provide a robust orientation and training programme.
