About the Role
We're looking for a skilled Senior Cost Controller to lead financial oversight across Tier 3 and 4 projects. This role combines strategic cost control with hands-on project financial management. You'll work closely and build functional relationships with key personnel to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, earned value tracking, and reporting—while driving process improvements and ERP optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and manage projects in Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Track earned value, CPI, SPI, and prepare monthly cost reports
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variation control
- Assist with invoicing, payment claims, and financial documentation
- Lead cost control process improvements and ERP integration
- Provide independent assessments of project financial health
- Perform basic scheduling in Microsoft Project
- Ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards
What You'll Bring
- 7+ years in cost control, project accounting, or financial analysis
- Strong ERP experience (Microsoft AX/Dynamics 365 preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail
- Background in engineering, construction, or industrial sectors
- Proven ability to lead process adherence and documentation
Desirable:
- Tertiary qualification in accounting, economics, project management
- Experience with earned value management and project controls
