About the role

We have a part-time opportunity (.8 FTE) for an Information Consultant to join our friendly team at the Whangarei isite Visitor Centre. This role provides an important first point of contact for domestic, international, and local visitors.

We would love to hear from anyone who has experience in sales/tourism/customer service and is passionate about promoting our district and its unique visitor experiences to people from all walks of life.

What you will bring

To be successful in this position, you will possess:

• Flexibility and willingness to work on weekends and public holidays where required

• Genuine pride and passion for our district

• Previous sales, tourism, or customer service experience

• Knowledge of Whangarei District, and New Zealand as a visitor destination

• An ability to work as part of a team, and independently when required

• Personal initiative and demonstrate a ‘can do' attitude

• Willingness to work part-time (30hrs) within a 7-day roster.

In addition, the ability to speak a second language would also be an advantage.
