Telephone Account Manager
HW Richardson Group Limited
- Full time role based in Christchurch
- Love sales? Great opportunity to learn from the ground up!
- Supportive, hands on leadership
At Allied Petroleum, our brand stands for more than just fuel - it's about showing up, backing our customers, and keeping NZ moving. Our All hours. All in campaign reflects the grit, commitment, and community spirit that drives everything we do.
For our sales team, that means building strong relationships, delivering smart solutions, and working closely with every part of the business to create a seamless customer experience. Yes, we're here to grow revenue - but we do it by being all in when it counts, with the energy and dedication our customers rely on.
This role differs from other sales roles in Allied Petroleum as customer contact is principally by telephone or email. The ‘Portfolio' will consist of existing customers already located with one of the field based Area Sales Managers (ASM's) spread throughout the South Island.
The selected customers will be of smaller volumes and have not always received a preferred contact level or we wish to increase the service level from that currently provided. The primary objective for the role therefore is to increase the service level experienced by the customers in addition to exploring upsell or new customer opportunities.
This role requires that you secure and increase customer loyalty through implementing a direct marketing programme comprising telephone and email contact in coordination with your field based ASM colleagues. There will be opportunities to seek out new business as well by increasing the spread of products customers purchase from Allied.
In part, by virtue of the job location at the Allied Service Centre, there will be opportunities in this role, for a broader scope of activities as business demands dictate. All disciplines for asset management, account set-up, and card services are managed at the Christchurch centre. Exposure and at times experience with these activities will be valuable for career development.
