About the role:

As Recreation Programmes Manager, you'll drive our fitness and group exercise programmes, ensuring they remain innovative, engaging, and accessible to our community. With over 90,000 annual participations across fitness and recreation, this is a role where your leadership will truly matter. You'll also oversee our thriving swim school with more than 3,000 students, adding variety and challenge to your portfolio

• Lead and inspire a team delivering industry-leading fitness programmes, from dryland group fitness to aquatic classes.
• Support a high performing swim school team at one of the largest single facility swim schools in the country.
• Champion programme development and innovation to keep Selwyn active and healthy.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and promote community engagement
• Oversee fitness and group exercise programmes, ensuring they remain innovative, engaging, and accessible.

About you:

You'll be an experienced leader with proven success in fitness, recreation, or sport sectors. You will be a part of a leadership team that is experienced and knows the business; therefore, you will be extremely adaptable with collaborative approach, strong leadership skills and the ability to empower teams and foster a positive culture.

You will also have:

• Proven leadership experience in fitness, recreation, or sport sectors.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and deliver results under pressure.
• A collaborative leader who empowers teams and drives positive culture.
• Strong business acumen and financial management skills
• Group Fitness delivery experience is ideal as we have instructors that deliver from one class to several
