- Vacancy 2: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 1500-2315 - 23.25hrs

About the role
As a Health Care Assistant (Care Partner), you will provide high-quality personal care and daily living support to residents in line with individual care plans and Selwyn Village values.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting residents with personal care (e.g. showering, dressing, toileting and mobility)
- Supporting residents with meals, hydration and daily routines
- Observing, reporting and recording changes in residents' condition or wellbeing
- Providing emotional support and companionship
- Maintaining a clean, safe and respectful environment
- Working collaboratively with Registered Nurses and the wider care team
- Following all policies, procedures, infection control and health & safety requirements
About you
You will be:
- Compassionate, patient and respectful
- Reliable and able to work fixed shifts as rostered
- Comfortable working in an aged care environment
- A strong communicator with residents, families and colleagues
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience (minimum one year) as a Health Care Assistant, Caregiver or Support Worker (aged care preferred)
- Experience working in a dementia unit or supporting residents living with dementia
- A relevant qualification (e.g. NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing - Level 2-4)
- Basic computer skills for documentation
- The ability to meet the physical requirements of the role
