Based in beautiful Richmond, in the heart of the Tasman region, you'll play a key role in keeping our community safe. As part of our high-performing Building Assurance Team, you'll be hands-on in the field, carrying out timely building compliance and pool safety inspections, supporting commercial building owners, and ensuring building safety systems are well maintained.
Your work contributes to safer buildings, safer people, and a stronger community.
What you'll bring:
We're looking for someone who is practical, confident, and motivated to learn. You might come from:
- A regulatory or compliance background
- A trade or building industry role
- A technically minded profession where communication and problem-solving are key
To succeed in this role, you'll also have:
- A working knowledge of the Building Act and NZ Building Code
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- A pragmatic, solutions focused approach
- The resilience to handle challenging situations when they arise
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to the team
