We are seeking a skilled Asset & Information Officer to play a pivotal role in how Council manages rivers information, coastal assets, and natural hazard risks. This is a highly collaborative role working alongside Rivers Engineers and Environmental Services professionals to deliver accurate, insightful, and accessible information that supports statutory obligations, asset planning, and community decision-making.
About the Role
As an Asset & Information Officer, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate records and managing information systems that support the Rivers & Natural Hazards team. You will contribute to developing and integrating geospatial and asset management systems to aligned with Council-wide platforms. Your work will ensure that critical infrastructure and environmental assets are well-documented, monitored, and maintained to keep our communities safe.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and analyse accurate rivers, coastal asset, and natural hazards data to support Council's statutory obligations and informed decision-making.
- Provide timely data, reports, modelling, and visualisations that the Rivers & Natural Hazards section relies on for planning, design, and community engagement.
- Contribute to developing and integrating geospatial and asset management systems aligned with Council-wide platforms.
- Deliver clear maps, dashboards, and spatial products that help staff, councillors, and the public understand risks and priorities.
