This role will utilise your expertise in tender preparation, client liaison, and risk management within a supportive and collaborative environment, supporting opportunities for professional growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Review and prepare tenders for fabrication and construction projects.
- Read and interpret tender drawings and associated documents.
- Communicate and coordinate with other employees on tender requirements.
- Work with the tendering team to assemble final bid packages according to client and business requirements.
- Provide conceptual estimates for specific projects.
- Liaise with clients to establish and maintain working relationships.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Mechanical background in a construction environment - Trade or Tertiary
- Proven experience as an Estimator in Structural, Mechanical, Piping and Engineering sectors within the Petro/Chemical and Oil & Gas industries.
- Strong understanding of tendering processes and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products - mainly Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
