ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Design Office Coordinator to support our multidisciplinary engineering design teams and ensure excellence in project delivery. This role coordinates the Mechanical, Piping, Civil/Structural, Instrumentation, and Electrical design and drafting teams. You will oversee design workflow planning, 3D model coordination, and digital engineering systems to ensure consistent, high‑quality outputs across all engineering disciplines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinate day‑to‑day workflows across Mechanical, Piping, Civil/Structural, Instrumentation, and Electrical design/drafting teams.
• Facilitate collaboration across disciplines, ensuring alignment of models, drawings, schedules, and deliverables.
• Oversee 2D/3D design delivery using AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Navisworks, and other digital engineering tools.
• Manage BIM processes including model integration, clash detection, and document control.
• Support piping layout design, isometric development, material selection, and interface management.
• Assist in pressure vessel and static equipment design in accordance with ASME, API, and relevant NZ/AU standards.
• Conduct and coordinate site surveys, capturing operational and maintenance requirements into design.
• Maintain design standards, templates, CAD/BIM libraries, and engineering workflows.
• Coordinate model and drawing handover to fabrication, construction, procurement, and project delivery teams.
• Support tendering, cost estimation, concept development, and client engagement.
• Identify and drive improvements in digital engineering, design quality, and project execution.

ABOUT YOU
• Experience in design coordination, engineering drafting leadership, or related technical project support.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Navisworks, 3D modelling, and BIM processes.
• Understanding of mechanical/piping design principles, structural interfaces, instrumentation layouts, and electrical design coordination.
• Excellent organisation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive in fast‑paced, multidiscipline engineering environments.
