Stand Tū Māia is seeking an exceptional practitioner to join our Family Therapy Service. We provide a bi‑cultural, trauma‑capable, holistic alternative to state care—supporting tamariki and whānau on the edge of care. Our specialist service is tailored to children (mainly 0-17 years) and families at high risk of poor life outcomes, many with previous system involvement. At the heart of our mahi are healing relationships, cultural humility and a commitment to Te Tiriti‑led whānau restoration.
Responsibilities will include working with a variety of cultures including Māori and Pacifica, and all staff are expected to demonstrate cultural humility and a commitment to restoration of whānau as a form of Te Tiriti redress.

Role Requirements / Person Specification
We welcome applicatnts from any relevant professional with the following attributes
- Openness to Te Ao Māori and commitment to bicultural practice
- Ability to engage deeply, motivate, and offer consistent kindness
- Experience with complex family dynamics
- Understanding of trauma and its impact on child development and attachment
- Strong partnership, collaboration and professional supervision practice
- Ability to work independently with diverse populations
- High‑quality recording, assessment and child/family planning skills
- Professional registration/membership with a current practising certificate
- Full driver's licence
