Senior HR Business Partner

We're seeking an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to lead day‑to‑day HR operations and provide practical, commercially focused people advice across the business.
Reporting to the General Manager HR, this hands‑on role blends operational delivery with trusted advisory support. You'll coach leaders, manage employee relations matters, and help embed a centralised HR operations model across NZ and Australia.
Key responsibilities
- Lead core HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, recruitment, contracts, training, and employee changes
- Provide expert advice on ER matters, performance management, disciplinary processes and policy interpretation
- Act as an escalation point for issues and coach HR coordinators
- Support organisational change, restructures and workforce transitions
- Ensure compliance with NZ and AU employment legislation
- Manage the HRIS data and prepare people reports
- Support engagement, wellbeing and culture initiatives
- Contribute to HR systems, process improvements and HR strategy implementation
About you
- Proven experience in a senior HR advisory or HR business partner role
- Strong knowledge of NZ employment legislation (AU experience desirable)
- Confident managing employee relations cases
- Pragmatic, solutions‑focused and comfortable working at pace
- Strong relationship‑builder who can influence leaders at all levels
- Enjoys being part of a collaborative team and has a positive can-do attitude
