Mayoral Support Officer

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive professional to support the Executive Assistant to the Mayor and help continue to deliver a responsive, well-run and community-focused mayoral office.
This fast-paced, varied role will see you coordinating mayoral events and engagements, managing correspondence and stakeholder relationships, and providing high-quality administrative and communications support.
You'll also assist with public communications, including preparing and scheduling social media content and monitoring channels for emerging issues.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the Mayor's inbox, correspondence and customer records
- Coordinate civic functions, citizenship ceremonies, workshops and official visits
- Plan mayoral engagements, including scheduling, logistics, briefings and follow-up
- Maintain the stakeholder engagement schedule and constituent services
- Prepare professional written communications and social media content
- Identify and escalate urgent or sensitive matters
To be successful in this role you'll be someone who has:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to manage competing priorities and use sound judgement
- Professional, discreet and politically aware
- Flexible to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and email management.
