We are seeking experienced Care Partners to join our Casual Bureau at Selwyn Village, providing cover across our care homes as required. This is a genuine casual role with shifts offered based on operational demand.

This role is ideal if you:

• Are specifically seeking casual work (no guaranteed hours)
• Are flexible and available for short-notice shifts
• Can work a mix of days, evenings and weekends
• Do not hold another full-time position

About the role

As a Casual Care Partner, you'll support residents to live well, safely and with dignity, in line with The Selwyn Way. You'll step into established teams to provide consistent, person-centred care.

Your duties may include:

• Personal care and daily living support
• Medication assistance (where competent)
• Supporting resident activities and routines
• Meal preparation and light housekeeping
• Accurate documentation and handovers

What we're looking for

• A minimum of two years' experience in aged care - rest home, hospital, or dementia care
• Eligibility to work in NZ permanently
• Level 3 or higher NZ Health and Wellbeing qualification
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Confidence using basic IT systems for resident notes
• A calm, reliable and flexible approach
• Physical capability for hands-on care duties
• Professional, compassionate, and resident-focused
