We are looking for an experienced leader to join our Environmental Services team as the Team Leader - Environmental Health. If you will have a background in environment health or leadership within the food, alcohol or quality management sector this is an ideal opportunity for your career. In this busy and varied role you will work alongside the team delivering food, alcohol and other environmental health activities.
Leading and mentoring your own team, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the team, allocating and monitoring work, continuous improvement of environmental health service delivery and managing IANZ accreditation of food services. You will provide specialist support and advice on environmental health matters including implementing legislation, bylaws and standards across internal and external customers.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Extensive experience in the field of food, alcohol and environmental health and carrying out verifications and compliance inspections including investigating complaints
- Well-developed knowledge of environmental health, food and alcohol legislation
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and mentor a team
- Strong interpersonal skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, including the ability to write reports
- Experience in using office based programs and field based inspection technology
- Current drivers licence
