Renewals Lead (Transportation)

About the role:
This role reports to the Transport Projects & Procurement Lead, focusing on providing professional engineering services to manage renewals projects for the Whangārei District. Based with the team in our newly built office in Whangārei CBD, the Renewals Lead is responsible for:
- Contract initiation/preparation and administration of professional services contracts
- Incorporation of standards into contracts
- Review of pavement design elements
- Review and approval of technical documents
- Implementation of approved renewals works related to roading assets
- Estimate, manage and monitor project expenditure
- Managing external resources to aid in the successful delivery of the renewals program
- Providing technical advice and oversight of the reseal program
About you:
We are looking for someone to join the team who brings a tertiary qualification in civil engineering and approx. 10 years post graduate experience, ideally across construction supervision, project and contract management.
In addition to your technical knowledge, you will be confident relating to others and forming relationships easily with both internal and external stakeholders. You'll bring good attention to detail working with contracts and have highly developed documentation, report and workflow process writing skills.
