Building Control Authority Team Leader

Do you have a passion for leading people and a technically strong Building Consent Officer?

About the Role

Working within the Building Control Team you will be:

  • Leading a team of building inspectors including mentoring of cadets and providing sound technical advice and guidance to the team and to the public.
  • Contributing to Building Control Officers training outcomes and reviews of performance of staff under direct or indirect supervision
  • Conducting building inspections
  • Assessing and processing building consent applications
  • Advising and interpreting relevant building legislation
  • Ensuring compliance of buildings and structures with all relevant legislation

What you will bring:

  • A Regulation 18 qualification
  • Competency levels based on the National Competency Assessment System
  • Audit/review experience
  • Building control experience
